The right tone of voice

Before we put pen to paper, the most important thing is to decide on the tone of voice, which means defining who you’re talking to. A dating app will use a different tone of voice to a local au-thority’s invitation to tender; that might sound like a no brainer, but we’ve seen many examples of copy that totally misses the mark. So when we begin a copywriting project, we’ll discuss the tone of voice with you, and produce a style guide if necessary.
