Editing magazine texts

The time is nigh. After all those laborious hours, you’re about to put your magazine to bed: all you have to do is click on Send, and off it goes to the printer. You could give your masterpiece a final read through, but time is short, and you’ve seen it so many times the words are dancing in front of your eyes.

So why not let us take one last look? Typos happen to the best of us, and if one slips through, you can be sure your readers will notice. If they spot a mistake, it doesn’t matter how beautifully the magazine is written, or how glossy it looks and feels, they’ll let you know. We’ll dot the Is and cross the Ts

If you need a final edit, you’ve come to the right place! Typos and grammatical errors happen easily: when you’re being swept along by the creative flow, they may be the last thing on your mind. But they’re a distraction to readers, and may affect your reputation for reliability. So an edit just before you go to press is always a good idea, because once it’s there on paper, there’s no going back. Two examples: ELLE and Quest

We do regular translations and final edits for several magazines. One is Elle, whose special editions we’ve been translating and editing for several years. We translated and edited a coffee-table book (It starts with the food), two issues of ELLE Canal Houses, and a flowers special (ELLE Bloemen).

We’ve also been working closely with the monthly popular science magazine Quest to help make their international publications a success. We did the final edit of their first English-language issue, and a full English translation and edit of the second.
