EYE Film Institute

EYE Filmmuseum

Walking out the back of Amsterdam Central Station, the characteristic, sleek building across the river housing Eye Film Institute immediately catches your eye. In addition to several beautiful film theatres, the museum also contains an exhibition hall, a film lab, a shop and a restaurant. Eye Film Institute aims to preserve our cinematic heritage for future generations and to promote a vibrant film culture in the Netherlands and beyond. Eye often organises seminars and festivals for young and old. For lovers of both domestic and foreign films, a visit to this museum is definitely a must!

Subtitles
We mainly provide Dutch and English subtitles for Eye Film Institute. For example, we subtitled the film The Brilliant Biograph: Earliest Moving Images of Europe (1897-1902), which transports viewers to cities like Venice, Berlin, London and Amsterdam at the beginning of the 20th century. You can watch this wonderful film for free on the Eye website. We also subtitled several videos for Eye’s YouTube channel.

See NL
For Eye Film Institute ’s website, Het Vertaalcollectief translated an article about SEE NL. This is an initiative by Eye Film Institute and the Netherlands Film Fund to show Dutch films to a wider international audience, bolstering the Dutch film industry and cinematic culture. Our creative subtitlers can’t wait to translate all these Dutch films into as many languages as possible!

Thanks for your super-fast response. We’ll be incorporating the subtitles right away!
