For years, ELLE Magazine has been turning to Het Vertaalcollectief for the translation of various specials. We did translations for a coffee table book about food (It starts with the food), two specials about canal houses (ELLE Canal Houses) en the flower special ELLE Bloemen, We also regularly translate individual texts for the ELLE editors, such as international interviews with Alicia Keys, Michelle Obama and Billie Eilish.
It starts with the food
“It starts with the food” didn’t have to be a fleeting story, but a coffee table book that you would enjoy flipping through. The translation had to be done in a short amount of time. That’s why we worked with a large number of translators simultaneously on the assignment, with one final editor monitoring the consistency and keeping in touch with the editors of ELLE. The end result was a beautiful book, with sumptuous images that did justice to our translations. We are happy and proud that we were able to contribute to this beautiful project!
