Awakenings - 20 years of techno

‘Awakenings – 20 years of techno’ is a heavy, 576 pages book produced by the makers of the dance bible Mary Go Wild in collaboration with several prominent music journalists including Gert van Veen, Atze de Vrieze, René Passet, Sasja Kooistra and Arne van Terphoven.
‘Awakenings’ offers everything you want to know about their 20 years of existence. Over 50 interviews with well-known artists, the line-ups, anecdotes, hundreds of photo’s, an expansive interview with the founder Rocco Veenboer and much more.

Awakenings is also popular in several international cities with a thriving nightlife, such as New York, Sao Paolo and Goa. Half of the 70.000 visitors of the yearly event in Spaarnwoude consists of about 80 different nationalities and this makes Awakenings the biggest techno event worldwide. An English version of their book is only natural with such an international audience.
We worked closely with Sasja Kooistra, one of the authors and music journalist and electronic music reviewer. After our initial meeting, we kept frequent contact to create the best results possible.
The presentation of the book was during the event to celebrate their 20^th anniversary. It was without a doubt the loudest and most exciting book presentation we have ever encountered.
