Het Parool

Het Parool

Amsterdam may be relatively small in size compared to other major cities, but we can safely call our capitol a metropolis. To provide the large number of expats and foreign language speaking inhabitants of the city with local news, Het Parool decided to have their articles translated to English.
The Translation collective is happy to contribute and make the local news accessible to as many people in Amsterdam as possible.

Summary

Het Parool is a true ‘glocal’ newspaper, with both international and local news. To facilitate non-Dutch speakers, Het Parool and The Translation Collective are collaborating to bring the news in English.
According to Het Parool Amsterdam is ranked highly in the list of most multicultural cities in the world. As a local newspaper it would therefore be considerate to publish as many as possible articles in English on their website.

Service provided

Het Parool is a no-nonsense newspaper with clear and informative journalism. It is our translators task to preserve the high standard of journalism in English.
